Ports of Peru

Port of Callao

The Port of Callao is the most important port in the country and on the west coast of the South Pacific and one of the 10 most important in Latin America. It is located in the province of Callao, department of Lima on the central coast of Peru facing the Pacific Ocean. It is a multipurpose terminal prepared to handle containerized cargo, break bulk, bulk and ro-ro. It has more than 20 cranes and 750 connections for refrigerated containers.

Port of Paita

The Port of Paita is located in the department of Piura, northwest of Peru. It is the second port in Peru that moves the most containers, exceeding 320 thousand TEUs annually. It has 2 terminals, one of them with 2 Post-Panamax gantry cranes. It mainly exports perishable and chemical products; while its main imports consist of containerized general cargo, vehicles and fertilizers.

Port of Salaverry

It is located in Trujillo, La Libertad, 14 km from the city center. The port offers specialized solutions in ship care services, cargo services and special services, generating value due to its privileged location.

Port of Matarani

It is located in the province of Islay in the department of Arequipa, on the coast of the Pacific Ocean. It has an area of 22 thousand square meters, an annual storage capacity of 300 thousand TEUs.

Port of Ilo

It is in the Moquegua region, it has a privileged location. It is very close to Bolivia and is part of the international transoceanic corridor that connects Peru, Bolivia and Brazil and is a few kilometers from two airports and free zones.

Port of Tacna

It is located in the southern part of the country in the city of Tacna. It is frequently used for exports while the Port of Arica (Peru and Chile border) is used for imports.

Port of Pisco

Located in the department of Ica, the port activity of Puerto General San Martín is of great importance in the fishing and agro-industrial activities, metallurgical and mining industries in the area.

Jorge Chávez International Airport is located in Callao, 14 km from the center of Lima. It is the most important airport in Peru and has a 12 thousand square meter logistics center to move cargo and packages, which has BASC certification. It moves more than 280 thousand tons of air cargo annually, mainly cargo from the mining, perishable, textile and chemical sectors.

Located 15 minutes from the city of Arequipa, it is the most important airport of the Andean Airports group and the third air terminal in number of users (passenger flow) after the airports of Lima and Cusco.
